STUDENTS FROM OTHER COLLEGES OR BIBLE SCHOOLS

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS/IMMIGRATION
The College is registered with the Department of Education as an Educational provider. Our full-time courses therefore satisfy the Home Office Immigration Regulations for international students requiring United Kingdom student's visas. It is essential that all international applications obtain their visas through the British High Commission or Consulate in their country of origin before attempting to enter the United Kingdom.
COST OF LIVING
An international student is expected to have the ability to cover the cost of their studies and living expenses whilst in the United Kingdom. The British High Commission or Consulate in the student's country of origin will require proof of financial security. It is obligatory that the student must leave the United Kingdom on completion of his or her studies.
TUITION FEES AND REFUND POLICY
Each student is required to pay a non-refundable application fee of £100 before their application is processed. Students are required to pay at least 40% of the year's tuition fee at the beginning of the 1st semester and the remainder may be paid by 8 monthly instalments. This arrangement is not available to international students. They must pay the full year's tuition fee before an admission letter is sent to them. Part-time modular students pay the full fee for the module before the start of the module. Students who pay their College fees in full at the beginning of the 1st semester will receive a discount. This however does not apply to modular and international students. Students who wish to withdraw from their studies during the first week will receive 90% refund. If a student withdraws during the second week 70% tuition fees will be refunded. No refunds are given after the second week. There is no refund to international students who withdraw from their studies at any stage. International students who are refused visas can receive an 80% refund. The College must however receive their refusal letters before the start of the semester.
International students from outside the European Community (EEC) will not normally be permitted to take up full-time paid employment.
STUDENT ATTENDANCE AND NON-ATTENDANCE POLICY
All students are expected to attend all classes, research and practical ministration sessions. College attendance is compulsory. Full time classes are from 9.40am to 2pm, Tuesdays to Fridays. Full time students are expected to attend weekday classes for a minimum of 16 hours a week.
Students are allowed up to three excused absences per course without penalty. Additional absences will require the student to compensate with extra work if their grade is not to be affected. Lecturers will not accept assignments which are missed due to unexcused absences and will also not accept assignments after their due date. Practical Ministry and Professional Placement are compulsory and must be passed for a student to graduate. If more than three classes are missed an 'F' will appear on the student's transcripts for the course. Where absence is unavoidable the College must be informed. For absence due to illness of more than three days, a medical certificate is required.
In the case of overseas students, where there are habitual unauthorised absences, the Home Office will be notified.
RESEARCH
This is a very important on-going training aspect of the students while they are at Wisdom Christian College. It involves students going at least once during their theological studies, to famous archaeological sites and places of interest including the Middle-East and Africa. Egypt, where we have the River Nile, will feature as one area of study when looking at the origin of certain events in biblical history. These trips and research will enable students to relate theological truths to historical and geographical findings in a very practical way.
LIBRARY FACILITIES
The College library contains books that are invaluable during the preparation of course work and assignments. The College also has a cooperative agreement with the Evangelical Library, 78 Chiltern Street, London W1U 5HB, and other libraries. Students have access to reference material as well as borrowing privileges.
