EARLY CHURCH HISTORY
Throughout years 1 and 2, a comprehensive introduction is given to the history of the Church from its beginnings to the nineteenth century. The main reason for looking at this period is that it comes immediately after the death of the Apostles. The Church at the beginning of the second century did not have the presence of the Apostles, the canonization of Scripture was not completed, heresies were beginning to creep in and opposition had already led to persecution of Christians. Issues of authority, heresies and persecution demand our consideration.
